Amanda grew up in West Chester, PA and completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at the University of Vermont. She then went on to earn her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. While in school, Amanda became interested in the One Health initiative, which strives to integrate human, animal and environmental health, and served on the One Health Club board. She also traveled to rural Thailand and Haiti, where she provided animal care and education on animal health and husbandry to local farmers.
After graduation, Amanda completed a year-long internship program at Colorado State University. She greatly enjoys the relationships formed with clients as well as student mentorship. Her special areas of interest are improving animal welfare, internal medicine, the role of nutrition and environment in overall animal health, and neonatal critical care. In her free time, Amanda enjoys skiing, running, rock climbing, and spending time with her dog Nora.
